ABOUT

Hello! I specialise in Expressionist abstracted figurative oil paintings, although my style is always changing. I am a self-taught artist, having graduated from UCL with a BA in Philosophy in 2020. I am now studying for a MEd at the University of Cambridge. When I'm not painting, I work as a Consultant. 

 

I paint to process thoughts and feelings that seem impossible to express in words.  I'm inspired by Gregorian chants and Classical music, especially the music of Rachmaninoff. To me, this music captures and processes much deeper emotions than spoken words, poetry, and perhaps even painting, can express. I use this material to help me paint in order to emulate the ineffable and the sublime.
