ABOUT
Helena Vandeleur is an oil painter based in Norfolk and London.
Working across abstraction, landscape, and figurative painting, her practice explores the relationship between memory, atmosphere, and perception.
Her paintings often begin with direct observation but develop through intuition, allowing colour, movement, and texture to take precedence over literal description.
Influenced by Gregorian chant, Rachmaninoff, and her background in philosophy, she is interested in what painting can express when words fall short. She uses painting as a means of exploring that space between feeling and language.
She holds degrees from UCL and the University of Cambridge.
